Top 2 Toe uses a Q switched Nd YAG Grade 4 medical laser to assist in the removal of tattoos.

How the laser works:
When you get a tattoo, ink is penetrated into the skin at different levels generally quite deep.  The body would normally try and dispose of any foreign objects (eg ink), but often the ink is too thick or big to be broken down by the lymphatic system and therefore, remains visible in the skin.
When preforming tattoo removal we use a laser beam of light that passes through normal skin and the light is absorbed by the tattoo ink.  The fast and direct shot of light then shatters the ink into smaller fine particles (not visible to the eye) that are small enough for the body’s lymphatic system to remove.
